Welcome to JULY
This July the atmosphere is sizzling at What’s On. With so much happening we barely know where to start but one thing’s for sure, this issue leaves no stone unturned so if you want the inside story of what’s going down make sure you read on to find out all from Bristol’s number one entertainment guide. After what seems like a lifetime, we can now announce that our ‘Face of Bristol’ competition has finally closed its doors and anticipation is high as our judges gather together and prepare to pick a winner. Can we just say a huge thank you to all the gorgeous girls who took time to send us pictures – the response has been overwhelming and with the waiting almost over we can announce that the winner will be revealed next month in the August issue. But back to July and this month heralds two major events – the Bristol Harbourside Festival on July 30th where the What’s On team will be out in force and the eagerly awaited opening of the Grand Pier in Weston. With two high profile attractions such as these attracting locals and tourists alike, it’s time to celebrate the diversity of choice we have in the south-west as well as being incredibly proud. What’s on salutes them both and we’ll be there first hand to report back on both events next month. As we edge towards the summer holidays July is full of recommendations for making the most of your leisure time.
